Henry Posada

 

Henry Posada was born in Cuba. He lived there until he was three years old, when his parents; Gilberto and Oide Posada moved to the Unites States along with his older brother. He was raised in Astoria, Queens. Henry graduated Long Island City HS in Queens in 1982. He attended Queensborough Community College after High School. He was initiated into Local #3’s apprentice program in 1999. He also attended The Harry VanArsdale Jr. School for Labor Studies where he received his Associates Degree.

Henry became an “A” Journeyman in 2004 and has worked as a Layout- man and Sub-Forman. He has certifications in networking, MTA, Path train, Amtrak, fiber optics, Lock Out/Tag Out, CDL, OSHA and Scaffolding.

Henry has been a active member of the SIES since 1999. He has served on the Dinner/Dance Entertainment Committee, was a SIES Committeeman and currently serves on the Good and Welfare Committee. He is an active member of The Bronx Acorn Club. Henry is involved in the American Red Cross.

Henry lives in Franklin Square, New York with his two sons Michael and Henry, Jr.  He enjoys fishing and restoring his antique car in his spare time.
