Diannery Perez


Diannery Perez born in the Dominican Republic, she is oldest of two children born to Wascar Perez and Maria Peralta. In 1981 the family immigrated to New York where Wascar worked as a Refrigeration Technician and Maria worked in a factory. Diannery graduated from Harry Van Ardale High School in 1993. She entered the apprenticeship in October of 1993 where she served in the Apprentice Advisory Committee. Diannery also earned her Associate Degree in labor studies from Empire State College in 1999.

Sister Perez received her “A”-Journeywoman’s card in 1999 and has worked in the field as lead journeyperson and Sub-forewoman. Diannery has taken many courses offered through the Educational and Cultural Fund of Local #3, which include; the OSHA-10 Construction Safety , Confined Space Certification, Lock-out/Tag-out Safety, Network Testing & Installation, High Voltage Testing, Citizen Responsibility and Exhibition Wiring course.

Diannery has been an active member of the Santiago Igelesias Educational Society since 1994. She has served on various club activities and committees including the Decoration and Entertainment Committee of our Annual Dinner/Dances. Diannery has served as Committeewoman, Good and Welfare Officer and presently serves as a Board of Director. She also serves on Local #3’s Wage and Policy Committee.

Diannery lives in Eelecthester with her lovely daughter Keila.
